PRESS: CEO says no decision on UAC integration into Rostec

MOSCOW, Dec 27 (PRIME) -- The Russian government has not decided on United Aircraft Corporation’s (UAC) integration into state industrial holding Rostec, CEO of the holding Sergei Chemezov told business daily Kommersant in an interview published on Wednesday.

“We are talking hypothetically, no decision on UAC’s joining (Rostec) has been made,” Chemezov said. “About 70% of all parts are made at our facilities: engines, avionics, composition materials, assemblies… We cannot live without each other.”

He said that if the joining decision is made, Russia will have a full-cycle jet producer like Boeing or Airbus and the company will become more interesting for investors.

According to earlier media reports, the UAC will undergo reforms and all military units will pass under control of Rostec.
